• Peer-reviewed open access online journal, which publishes the scholarly progress of work to understand, address, and ultimately eliminate neurological disparities based on sex, race, ethnicity, geography, and socioeconomic status.

• It will provide authoritative interdisciplinary and interprofessional information about neurological disparities and brain health inequities among underserved and vulnerable populations with the goal of providing optimal outcomes and ultimately brain health equity for all.

• Its coverage will range from basic science to translational research to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological disease. The Journal will also serve as a primary resource for organizations, policymakers, and individuals who serve neurologically disparate populations at the community, state, regional, tribal, national, and international levels.

• Equity Neuroscience will cover all aspects of neurological disparities including social, cultural, behavioral, environmental, genetic, and epigenetic determinants contributing to differences in neurological disorder incidence, prevalence, death, survivorship, and burden of neurological diseases that exist among different populations around the world.

• Equity Neuroscience will publish multidisciplinary editorial, commentary, hypothesis, short and full-length reviews, full-length original clinical or basic science research articles, and short articles of immediate scientific or clinical significance. These include disparities at the metabolic, molecular, genetic, epigenetic, physiological, clinical, diagnostic, prevention, and therapeutic levels.

• Equity Neuroscience will promote multi‐, inter‐, and trans‐disciplinary research and foster a scholarly community with different expertise and resources, to develop new, synergistic perspectives.

• Journal to begin with quarterly issues and then increase frequency accordingly

• Preparations under way with likely launch in Fall of 2024 or Winter 2025

• All day symposium in Spring each year

• Scientific lectures by eminent equity neuroscientists

• Each symposium will have a demographic theme for scientific lectures on an annual rotating basis
